Secure Low Cost HSM

 Luna PCM Family is a low-cost family of compact Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) offering hardware-based key management and hardware-accelerated cryptographic performance within a compact PCMCIA card.

Overview

The Luna PCM family offers dedicated hardware key management to protect sensitive cryptographic keys from attack. The high security hardware design ensures the integrity and protection of encryption keys throughout their life cycle. All digital signing and verification operations are performed within the HSM to increase performance and maintain security. Cryptographic keys are backed up via a FIPS approved algorithm and can be stored in software or replicated on one or more Luna PCM tokens.

The PCM Family comes in three versions;

• Luna PCM - Signing:
  It is used primarily for secure document signing. Private keys are securely generated and managed within the HSM. It replaces the Luna 2.
• Luna PCM - Key Export:
  It is used primarily to generate private keys for registration of smart cards or other identity token devices. It replaces the Luna RA.
• Luna PCM - Signing with Key Backup:
  It is used to sign and backup cryptographic material to a FIPS validated token. It replaces the Luna DSM.

  Luna PCM Family of HSMs supports a broad range of cryptographic processing and key exchange algorithms including RSA (up to 4096 bit), SHA-256/512, AES, 3DES and many more.
